Helix Defense

Helix Defense
An old HelixFox.com classic, Helix Defense is a traditional tower defense game where you have to build towers to stop waves of enemies reaching your reactor core.

To play the game, select a turret from the top menu then click on the level where you would like the turret to be built. You can also click existing turrets to select them and then see their statistics and upgrade them.

This game was made for HelixFox.com, my old website, about a year ago (october 2007) and enjoyed moderate success. This version has a number of bug fixes (particularly a bug with the chain turret which was awkward to fix) and balance adjustments making it very much improved over the original version.

The game was made and compiled using Flash CS3 in ActionScript 2.

    danach wird der schaden dramatisch, eine highshore fehlt
    andere karten, oder transporttürme währen interessant

    helix defence is awesome i 1st saw it on TD Arcade and thought it was crap then i came on the website and played the full version and enjoyed my self!

    any game tips? personally i like damage time turrets and nanos!

    I’m not working on HD1 anymore but i’m still working on HD2 and i’ll be more generous with energy limits (if there is one) this time.

    It doesn’t end. Each wave just gets progressively harder as you go on :)

    Very nice game.

    But after a while playing it gets a little bit unbalanced:-)
    Even with max generators an full 4000 energy after conservation by level 16 it isn´t possible for me get past level 44.

    Damage rises to fast to keep up with any tower at max.

    Level 47! :D

    I thought I made a few mistakes this time that were going to cost me, but I still did pretty well. Started off with damage/time turrets, which I destroyed just before each enemy was killed on each level, to grow my energy as fast as possible. Added some slowing turrets and stayed with this combo until about level fifteen. Added one energy turret per level until up to full energy – then filled all available space with them. Destroyed d/t turrets, added four nano turrets around the end of the main center block – and upgraded them to no cost per damage at first. Then kept adding slowing turrets and upgrading them to full. Each level I spent down to 1900 or so. Once I had 14 fully upgraded slowing towers, I let the nanos build up damage. In hindsight, I wish I had tried to let them build up damage earlier, and stopped my slowing turrets at twelve perhaps.

    Thanks for playing, everyone :) I’m really surprised that people are still playing this more than a year after I released it. I really must finish Helix Defense 2 soon.

    hey doud who made this is there cheats on this becasue i suck i make it to lvl 10 then died and i have been playin for a month know. The highest point i got to is 13!!! so plz tell if there r cheats plz i need them really bad so i can go high. Guess what? my sister (7) went to lvl 29 with out my help i was like OMG!! how did u do that and she did im not tellin and i was sad:( i need the cheats do i can get to a higher lvl man i hope u put cheats on it.
